The extension to this terraced property will transform the disjointed ground floor plan into an open-plan kitchen diner with utility room, WC and fantastic connection into the garden. Instead of going with matching brickwork for the external walls, we decided to make point of using traditional materials in a contemporary way using Persen Tegel D72 bricks in a stacked formation. The brick is slightly lighter and will set apart the extension from the host property both in texture and colour whilst remaining sympathetic. The exposed steelwork will become a colourful feature whilst touched of plywood provide a tactile element to the scheme.
